Annotated Probate Forms for Legal Professionals

On the 21st January 2016, Annotated Forms or Guide Forms, as well as the ‘General Guidance and Information Notes for Attorneys-at-Law’ and the ‘Disclaimer to the Guide Forms and General Guidance and Information Notes’ were published by the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago (‘LATT’). These documents are the product of a collaboration between the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago and the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago. Judicial officers and senior practitioners with experience and knowledge in Probate Law contributed to the development of the forms.

It is hoped that this republication on the Judiciary E-services and e-filing platforms will afford legal professionals and those who wish to engage the Probate process, ease of access to the Annotated Forms. The forms should be used before and while preparing applications. Doing so, should reduce potential errors in applications submitted to the Probate Registry and thus lessen the number of queries issued.

The Annotated Forms are for guidance only and must be read in conjunction with the relevant laws including the Wills and Probate Act and the ‘General Guidance and Information Notes’.
